Ukraine: investment in South Ukraine nuclear plant approved

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved a reviewed project to improve the South Ukraine nuclear power plant's water supply system, raising its yearly power output by around 2.5 terawatt hours. Energoatom declared that the project intends to eliminate restrictions on the plant caused by the lacking cooling capacity of the Tashlykskaya reservoir.

Turkey says “no” to Israeli gas amid Gaza conflict

Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz, speaking at a press conference in Ankara on Monday said that natural gas exports from Israel’s Leviathan reservoir to Turkey will be banned as long as the Israel-Gaza conflict continues.

Repsol - new good quality oil discovery in Brazil

Repsol Sinopec Brazil, together with Petrobras and BG Group have made a new oil discovery, Abarè well, in the Carioca area situated in block BM –S-9. First tests have encountered in the carbonate reservoirs, at a depth of 4,830 meters, the presence of good quality oil with a gravity of 28 degrees API.
