Spanish researchers developed high efficient photovoltaic cells
The Micro and Nanotechnology Research Group of the Spanish Universitata Politecnica de Catalunya has realized high efficient photovoltaic cells with conversion efficiency of 20.5 percent. The new type of solar panels of 4.8 m² would produce daily an average of about 4 kWh enough to cover the energy demand of a family.

“European wind energy” decreased in 2010
According to the EWEA data presented last week, wind energy in Europe went down by 10 percent as compared to the last year. Investments in wind power diminished from 13 billion euros last year to 12.7 billion euros this year.
