Angola – surpassing its OPEC quota.

Oil minister Jose Botelho de Vasconcelos was quoted by local news agency declaring that Angola is extracting more than its OPEC quota. The Angolan official said that they’re producing 1.9 million barrels of oil per day even though they admit the output target set by OPEC is 1.656 million bpd, and still, industry sources say that it is even lower, at 1.52 million bpd.

United Arab Emirates to increase production capacity.

The United Arab Emirates declared that, they currently have a production capacity of 2.7 million barrels per day and are planning to increase the capacity to 3.5 million bpd. As a lot of multinational companies have large stakes in concessions in this country, the UAE relies on these to make it possible.

U.S. crude inventories increase more than estimated

Last week, US crude inventories increased by 4.8 million barrels, much more than estimated, or 1.1 million barrels, whilst the stocks of the products dropped, as stated by American Petroleum Institute on Tuesday.
