Daily: German electricity prices decline on higher wind power output
Crude oil prices posted a modest gain on Friday, recovering from near four-year lows as investors bought back into a an oversold market and as conflicts in Iraq intensified political risk. Brent for December delivery increased by 34 cents to close at $86.16 a barrel. Brent contract for November delivery expired on Thursday. U.S. November crude, boosted 5 cents to settle at $82.75, registering its consecutive third weekly decline.

Daily: European forward power contracts recover from six-month lows on weak buying
Brent crude prices recorded their largest drop in more than three years on Tuesday as fears about slowing world economy and the spread of Ebola has created anxiety between investors. Brent futures traded down 4 percent to settle at $85.32 a barrel, having hit a low of $84.48. U.S. crude declined 4.2 percent to close at $82.12.

Serbia: investment of 400 million euros on power grid upgrade
Serbia's grid operator EMS intends to invest 400 million euros ($507.5 million) over the next six years to improve its old electricity network and construct new connections to nations in the European Union, an EMS representative declared on Monday.
