Daily: British prompt natural gas prices jump on forecasts for cold weather return

Crude oil boosted as much as 3 percent on Tuesday as the dollar depreciation spurred commodities, but prices pared their highs in the post-settlement trading on signs of another increase in U.S. stockpiles. Benchmark Brent crude rose $1.44, or 3 percent, to settle at $49.60 a barrel after jumping to just a penny short of $50. U.S. crude futures boosted $1.08, or 2.4 percent, to end at $46.23 a barrel, after a session high at $46.55.
