Finland’s Fortum will sell Swedish electricity grid for $6.9 billion

Finnish utility Fortum has decided to sell its Swedish power distribution business to a conglomerate comprising Canada's Borealis for approximately 6.6 billion euros ($6.9 billion), finalizing its withdrawal from Nordic electricity grid assets.

EEX will start trading of Nordic, Swiss and Spanish power futures

Norway: Statoil signs deal to vend gas to Ukraine’s Naftogas

Norwegian energy company Statoil has inked an agreement to vend gas to Ukraine state gas firm Naftogaz, according to the Nordic company on Friday, supplying another source of gas for Ukraine after Russia’s halt of supplies.

Sweden: non-Nordic business of Vattenfall could be sold by opposition
