Centrica’s British Gas has to pay $9.4 million

Daily: WTI crude oil increases on sharp rise in gasoline demand

WTI crude oil boosted by more than $1 on Wednesday as gasoline demand rocketed in the U.S., pushed up by technical trading, while Brent crude registered a modest gain following strained relations between Russia and the West. The U.S. Energy Information Administration data, showing a sharp build in gasoline demand, drove up U.S. gasoline and crude oil prices above key technical level.
