Daily: European coal prices dip on warm weather forecast
Crude oil prices dropped to a four-year low before recovering and world equity markets tumbled again on Thursday as investors worried about world growth and a revived European debt crisis after two years of stability. Brent crude for November delivery increased 69 cents to settle at $84.47 a barrel, after a previous decline to $82.60 a barrel, the lowest level since November 2010. U.S. crude jumped by 92 cents to close at $82.70 a barrel.

Daily: Crude oil prices tumble on economic gloom spread
Crude oil prices tumbled on Wednesday after a short recovery from four-year lows did not succeed to gain ground, as equity markets slumped and economic gloom continued. Brent crude for November delivery, which expires on Thursday, dropped $1.26 to settle at $83.78 a barrel, after trading earlier as low as $83.37, its weakest level since 2010. It slipped nearly $4 on Tuesday, the most considerable decline in three years. U.S. crude closed just 6 cents lower at $81.78 as buyers returned early in the day after the contract reached $80.01.
