Japan needs extra 4mn tones of LNG supply or more than 60 cargoes over the next 12 months from Qatar, which will push long- term gas prices up and possibly will divert supplies from Europe.

The euro coal price dropped by $1.50 per ton
FOB South African and Europe prices for delivered coal cargoes dropped by nearly $1.50 per ton on Wednesday, due to weak oil and power.

The coal market in Europe
The coal prices decreased on Tuesday by 2 dollars as consequence of the sales made by several banks on Monday. According to traders and utilities, it was a necessity to reduce prices from the level of 100 dollars per ton for the punctual South African cargoes, because of the rapid increase.
