Daily: European spot power prices down on more wind and sun power generation

Brent crude oil settled lower on Wednesday as it emerged that a military strike against Syria would remain restricted, repressing fears of supply disruptions in the Middle East. U.S. oil lost more than $1 per barrel, as any Middle East conflict might further tighten already restrained global supplies. Brent prices for October delivery decreased 77 cents at $114.91, after trading as high as $116.09 and as low as $114.40. While U.S. crude oil for October delivery established at $107.23 a barrel, decreasing $1.31, or 1.2%.

Daily: EU coal prices decreased on dollar growth

Brent crude prices boosted to a six- month peak on Wednesday, as the menace of Western countries involvement in the Syrian conflict augmented fears over Middle East oil supplies. Brent futures for October delivery increased $2.25 to settle at $116.61. During the session Brent futures reached a six-month high, at $117.34. U.S. crude futures was up $1.09 at $110.10 per barrel.

Daily: Brent prices increased to six month high on rising anxiety in Syria

Brent crude jumped to a six-month high on Tuesday, increasing more than $3 in heavy trading to reach $114 per barrel on rising worries on Syria, while U.S. crude also added more than $3 per barrel on worries that Western involvement could undermine the Middle East supplies. Brent crude registered its biggest daily percentage gain since October, growing $3.63 at $114.36 per barrel a 3.3 percent increase, after hitting a session high of $114.42. Meanwhile U.S. crude augmented 3.09 dollars to settle at $109.01 per barrel.
