Total sells 25% stake in Tempa Rossa oil field

France-based multinational oil and gas company Total, has decided to sell a 25 % stake in the Tempa Rossa oil field, which is situated in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, to Mitsui E&P Italia. Total, which has discovered the Tempa Rossa oil field in 1989, and has operated the concession since 2002, will remain operator of Tempa Rossa with a 50% stake.

Daily: Brent crude futures drop on Cyprus bailout plan

Front-month Brent crude oil futures dropped 31cents to settle at $109.51 a barrel on Monday after an unusual bank bailout proposal for Cyprus threatened to cause new economic turbulence in the euro zone. Meanwhile, U.S. crude oil futures for April delivery inched up 29 cents a barrel on Monday to settle at $93.74, recovering from early losses triggered by worries about the Cyprus bailout plan.

Daily: European spot power down on uncertain weather forecast

Brent crude continued to rise by more than $1 per barrel on Friday to over $110 per barrel, backed by strong U.S. jobs data and Middle East supply worries, while U.S. crude oil futures increased by 42 on Friday to settle at $93.45 a barrel.
