EDF says Hinkley Point start now June 2027, costs rise
French utility EDF said on Thursday it was pushing back the start date on its Hinkley Point C nuclear reactor to June 2027 and now estimated project costs in the range of 25 billion to 26 billion pounds ($31 to $32 billion).

Fixing EDF’s reactors corrosion mystery to take several years, French regulator warns
The head of French nuclear regulator ASN said on Tuesday (17 May) that fixing corrosion problems at some of state-controlled utility EDF’s nuclear reactors would require a “large scale” plan and “several years” as he warned of a risk more reactors could be halted.

Vulcan Energy inks 20-year geothermal energy supply deal with Germany’s MVV
Vulcan Energy has signed a deal with Germany's fifth biggest utility firm MVV Energy for at least 240 gigawatt hours per year of geothermal energy starting in 2025, the company said on Tuesday.
