TNK-BP plans to sue BP seeking $10 billion in damage

Russia's half of the TNK-BP joint venture intends to take proceedings against BP pretending the giant broke the joint venture's shareholder agreement. According to the sources close to TNK-BP, the company’s management will seek multibillion-dollar damage, equivalent to $10 billion, claiming it lost the opportunity to explore the Russian Arctic because of BP's actions.

BP will restart drilling in the Gulf of Mexico

BP asked U.S. regulators to give the company permission to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, as early as July, less than 15 months after an accident that killed 11 workers and led to the release of more than 4.9 million barrels of oil from BP's well into the Gulf of Mexico.

BP agreed to sell a share of its pipeline assets to Buckeye

BP Products North America announced yesterday that it signed a deal to sell some of its refined petroleum products terminals and pipelines to one of the leading petroleum distributors in the US, Buckeye Partners L.P, for $225 million.
