China, India, Japan and South Korea have reduced Iranian oil imports
Asia's main purchasers of Iranian crude oil have reduced imports by about 15 per cent in 2013, but imports may augment in coming months, on the rise of turmoil in Africa which menaces to tighten global oil supplies. Tough U.S. and EU sanctions have slashed exports from the OPEC member by more than half to about 1 million barrels per day (bpd).

Daily: Brent crude trades higher on uncertainty about Libya port restart
Brent crude oil increased in the oscillating trading ahead of the January futures contract expiration on Monday, gaining support from uncertainty if oil ports in eastern Libya will resume exports. Meanwhile, U.S. crude futures dropped on Friday on expectations the Federal Reserve could announce a withdrawal of its bond-buying program as early as next week.

Daily: German spot power up on colder weather, while French contract tumbles
Brent crude oil boosted on supply worries as traders were doubtful that Libyan oil exports would resume, while U.S. crude dropped after government data showed a big increase in refined oil products, showing a sluggish oil demand. Brent crude oil boosted 32 cents to settle at $109.70 a barrel, after reaching a session low of $108.62. U.S. crude futures for January delivery eased $1.07 to $97.44.

Israel could supply Italy with gas
On Monday, the National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom and the Italian Economic Development Minister Flavio Zanonato, during a meeting in Rome, have presented the idea of exporting some of Israel’s natural gas to Italy, as Israel still has to decide where to export the amounts allocated for exports of natural gas. Both the Ministers agreed that Israeli natural gas exports to Italy are a common interest of both countries.

Russia moves a step closer to liberalize its LNG exports
