Activ Solar completed the largest European Solar Park

Activ Solar GmbH completed recently the Europe’s biggest solar park obtaining financing from two Russian banks, VTB Bank OJS (VTBR) and Sberbank of Russia (SBER). According to the Activ Chief Executive Officer Kaveh Ertefai, the project of this size typically costs around 300 million euros.

Crude oil futures increased on Thursday as an equities rally and a fall in jobless data supported offset worries over the French banks and fears that Europe’s debt crisis could spread. NYMEX crude for September delivery settled at 85.72 dollars a barrel, gaining 2.83 dollars after a trading range between 81.03 and 85.97 dollars, while ICE Brent crude for September delivery traded at 108.02 dollars a barrel, up 1.34 dollars, after a trading range from 104.34 to 108.20 dollars.

Libyan trade affected by U.S. sanctions

Recent events in Libya have led the United States and other countries to impose sanctions on Libya. Due to these sanctions, a number of U.S. oil trading companies have pulled back from trading crude and refined products in and out of Libya and some large banks have withdrawn their funds.
