Gamesa projects to open a wind turbine blade factory in India which will produce turbines of G5X- 850kW and G9X-2.0 MW. The factory will primarily supply India’s northern states, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The company invested 25 million euros to commission the wind turbine blade facility.

Gamesa to start the 2012 with several new deals

Gamesa, a Madrid –based wind Energy Company, started the year by signing several contracts in order to strengthen its presence in the global energy market. The company signed an agreement with Iberdrola to provide onshore wind turbines until at least 2022, aimed to be installed for planned projects.

Russian crude oil output taps Post-Soviet High in 2011

According to preliminary figures published by Ministry of Energy, Russian oil output rose to a record level for the Post Soviet Era, registering an average production of 10.27 million barrels a day in 2011. This is due to the fact that companies in the largest global crude oil production nation took advantage of higher prices and raised output at new projects.

DECC: UK renewable investments hit £2.5bn this year
