Lithuania transports record volume of gas to the Baltic States
In 2019, Lithuania transported the highest ever recorded volume of gas to the Baltic States. By making targeted investments into the Lithuanian gas infrastructure and its interconnection with neighbouring countries, the gas transmission to the Baltic States increased 2.6-fold in 2019, reaching almost 6 TWh of gas.

EU greenhouse gas emissions fall two per cent in 2018
Greenhouse gas emissions fell by two per cent across the EU in 2018 according to the latest official preliminary estimates, but the relatively slow progress in renewable energy deployment and the decarbonisation of the transport sector continue to cause concern for the EU's environmental agency.

Russia starts pumping gas into Turkish Stream pipeline
Gazprom has started filling the 1st leg of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline with gas, the project operator announced on October 18. This is the final stage of testing the pipeline before putting it into operation later this year, South Stream Transport said. It noted that the 1st deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2019.
