Daily – oil prices mixed on stronger dollar and on Iran’s threat to close the key pipeline

U.S. crude oil futures shed on Monday as stronger US dollar made the dollar-denominated asset costlier, while the drop was capped by supply worries after Iran’s threat to shut a key oil-shipping pipeline. By 00:23 GMT NYMEX crude for February delivery traded at 101.36 dollars a barrel down 20 cents.

South Stream pipeline gets Turkey greenlight

Turkey gave greenlight to the South Stream gas pipeline which will transport gas to southeast Europe bypassing Ukraine. The pipeline will pass under Turkey territorial waters and it is expected to deliver gas in 2015.

CNOOC: a subsea leakage in Zhuhai terminal

China's offshore oil and gas producer CNOOC reported a leak in a subsea pipeline at its Zhuhai Henggin gas processing terminal in South China's Guangdong province, prompting the halt of some platforms at the Pangyu 30-1 and Huizhou 21-1 fields.

TNK-BP to invest $10bn in Arctic oil fields

Bulgaria to withdraw from Russian, Greek oil pipeline deal

Bulgaria's Energy and Economy Minister Traicho Traikov said on Wednesday his country decided to withdraw from a pipeline deal to carry Russian oil through his country to Greece, bypassing Turkey's Bosporus Straits, because it cannot be achieved under the financial conditions agreed on in 2007.
