Norway TSO Statnett confirms Oct. 1 start for NSL link to UK at reduced 700 MW
The 1.4 GW North Sea Link power interconnector from Norway to Great Britain is to start operations as scheduled on Oct. 1, Norwegian grid operator Statnett said Sept. 23 after market close.

Daily (16.09.2021): A fire at a UK-France power link led to massive gains for most of the European energy markets on Wednesday
Oil prices were bullish on Wednesday, lifted by a significant drop in US crude reserves, coupled with upwardly revised forecasts for demand from the International Energy Agency. As such, Brent oil climbed by 2.5% to $75.46 a barrel and WTI crude rose by 3.1% to $72.61 a barrel.

Timing of Nord Stream 2 gas link startup dependent on German regulator
The start date for commercial gas flows through the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to Germany will be dependent on approval from the German regulator, a senior Russian official said Sept. 9.

Final piece of Nord Stream 2 in place
The last section of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline has been welded into place, its operator said on Monday, meaning the two long stretches of the pipe can now be joined to complete the Baltic subsea link.
