Daily (11.02.2021): Carbon prices above €39-mark, German spot power at 2-year high on Wednesday
Wednesday saw another session of growth for crude oil prices, as the weekly EIA report showed a drop in US crude stocks, while global demand is slowly increasing. As such, both Brent and WTI crude gained 0.6% to settle at $61.47 a barrel and $58.68 a barrel, respectively.

Daily (04.02.2021): Carbon prices soared by 7% on Wednesday amid strong auction results
Oil prices continued to push towards one-year highs on Wednesday, as the EIA weekly report showed a drop in US crude stocks. At the same time, the conclusion of the monthly OPEC+ summit lent additional support to prices. As such, Brent and WTI crude closed 1.7% higher at $58.46 and $55.69 a barrel respectively.

Daily (25.01.2021): Brent crude fell by 1.2% on Friday, weighed by renewed coronavirus infections in China
Oil prices ended lower on Friday, weighed by renewed infections of Covid-19 in China, with several cases linked to the English variant. Moreover, an increase in U.S. crude stocks also put pressure on prices. Consequently, Brent oil dropped by 1.2% to $55.41 a barrel and WTI crude closed 1.6% lower at $52.27 a barrel.

Daily (17.12.2020): A drop in US crude inventories on Wednesday lent support to oil prices
On Wednesday, the EIA reported a drop in crude stocks in the United States, thus lending support to oil prices. As a result, Brent crude increased by 0.6% to $51.08 a barrel, while WTI oil edged 0.4% higher at $47.82 a barrel.

Daily (26.11.2020): European power prices soared on Wednesday amid colder weather outlook and lower wind generation
Crude prices hit an eight-month high on Wednesday, supported by a drop in US oil stocks, progress on the coronavirus vaccine and optimism ahead of the next OPEC+ summit. As such, Brent crude rose by 1.6% to $48.61 a barrel, while WTI oil ended 1.8% higher at $45.71 a barrel.
