Japan’s energy imports increase after nuclear reactors dismantle
Following the closure of nuclear power plants, Japan increased its coal and LNG imports by a fifth in May in order to deal with its energy shortage. Therefore, Japan should import as much as 90 million tons of LNG in the year through March, to generate the power needed to set off for the shut reactors

Daily: UK gas traded higher on Norway imports decline
Brent crude oil prices touched a one-week high above $99 a barrel on Monday after Greek pro-bailout political parties won enough seats to form a joint government, but prices have rapidly came off peaks installed as focus returned to other European countries hit by the debt crisis, as Spain and Italy.

Turkey to reduce oil imports from Iran
Turkey announced its intention to reduce oil imports from Iran, replacing them by the Saudi and Libyan oil, in order to avoid US sanctions after official trade data showed very high imports in April.

Oil down as Al-Naimi says OPEC may need higher output quota
Oil plunged for the fourth day in a row after Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi announced OPEC may need to increase its production quota and on the news that U.S. would issue more exemptions from sanctions for importers of Iranian oil.
