Daily: British prompt gas prices decline on firmer supply from Norway

Crude oil prices increased on Monday, buoyed by weaker dollar that counterbalanced pressure on prices from a supply glut. Oil prices were pressured as Saudi Arabia has stood firm on its decision to keep production levels, saying it would consider reducing output only if producers outside OPEC also did so. U.S. crude futures rose by 88 cents to settle at $47.45 on Monday, up 1.9 percent. Brent price boosted more than 1 percent to close up 60 cents at $55.92 per barrel.

Daily: WTI crude hits 6-year low on higher inventories, Iran talks

Crude oil declined 2 percent on Monday, with U.S. crude striking six-year lows, on signs of stronger output in the United States and Libya and an eventual nuclear deal that could put an end to sanctions for Iran. Brent's expiring front-month contract eased $1.23 to settle at $53.44 a barrel, touching a six-week low of $52.50 earlier. WTI crude futures dropped 96 cents to close at $43.88. It had slipped nearly $2 earlier to a March 2009 low of $42.85.

Daily: European spot power prices mixed on stronger wind output in Germany, colder weather in France

Brent crude prices declined 2 percent on Monday, dragged down by European Central Bank bond-buying, while U.S. crude boosted 1 percent on a smaller-than-expected increase in stockpiles at the main oil hub at Cushing, Oklahoma, driving to a narrowing gap between the two benchmarks. Brent decreased $1.20, or 2 percent, to settle at $58.53 a barrel, while U.S. crude rose by 39 cents, or 0.8 percent, to close at $50.

Daily: Crude oil prices decline on speculations of Tehran nuclear deal

Brent crude futures declinde 5 percent on Monday on speculations of a sooner-than-expected nuclear deal for Tehran that could remove sanctions and increase its oil exports, intensifying concerns of robust supply back to the market. Boosting Libyan crude output and a stronger dollar also weighed on Brent. U.S. crude futures also dropped but only slightly, spurred by data suggesting a smaller-than-expected increase last week in the Cushing, Oklahoma delivery point for oil. Brent's front-month fell $3.04 to settle at $59.54. WTI crude decreased 17 cents to close at $49.59 a barrel.

Daily: European spot power prices ease on supply pressure

Crude oil prices were mixed on Friday as the number of U.S. rigs drilling for oil dropped more than expected, while heating oil boosted 6 percent on a cold snap that shrunk output at three refineries. The front-month Brent rose just by penny to settle at $60.22, after plunging to a week low of $57.80 on Thursday. WTI's March futures declined 82 cents to close at $50.34 a barrel, expiring as the front-month contract.
