EWEA: Europe’s offshore wind energy to reach 150 GW by 2030
Europe’s offshore wind capacity could reach 150 GW by 2030 from 4 GW of installed capacity today, being able to supply about 14% of EU electricity demand according to the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) latest report on offshore wind supply chain.

Vattenfall to build a 576 MW offshore wind farm in North Sea

EU: new legislation on offshore oil and gas drilling
The European Union issued a new legislation on offshore oil and gas drilling to guard itself against a repeat of BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill. It marks the first time the EU has proposed a bloc-wide legislation on offshore oil and gas, although it complements an existing directive on environmental liability under which the polluter pays.
