Chinese imports of iranian oil continue to increase despite U.S. sanctions

Despite the U.S. sanctions China reached the highest level this year in importing oil from Iran. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei said China’s imports from Iran are fair and reasonable and does not hurt the interests of the international community.

Daily: Brent crude at 18-month lows on modest Chinese manufacturing data

Brent crude slipped to about $92 per barrel, hitting an 18 months low on Thursday, driven down by demand growth woes as China’s factory sector eased down and by U.S. Fed’s modest action which discouraged hopes for more aggressive steps to stimulate U.S. economic growth.
