Huge offshore wind park launches in North Sea after $3 billion support

One of the world’s biggest offshore wind farms is officially launched. The Gemini Offshore Wind Park, which is located 85 kilometers off the coast of the Netherlands and has a capacity of 600 megawatt (MW), covers 68 square kilometers and has 150 Siemens wind turbines. Around 2.8 billion euros ($3.05 billion) was invested in the project.

Mitsubishi Corporation joined the largest battery storage project in Germany

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) announced that it will be working through Enspire ME, a 50:50 joint venture formed from MC and Eneco (Netherlands based company), to build a 48MW/50MWh battery in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany based on a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS).

TenneT unveils tender for two offshore wind connections in Netherlands

TenneT - leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO), with activities in the Netherlands and in Germany is looking for potential bidders for offshore wind connections at two zones off the Netherlands. The offshore network is going to have substations connected by 66kV wiring, with the wind farms also delivering power at 66kV.
