G7, Vietnam reach $15.5 bln climate deal to cut coal use
The Group of Seven (G7) industrialised nations has agreed with Vietnam to fund the Southeast Asian country's transition away from coal with $15.5 billion, two Western sources told Reuters on Wednesday.

Daily (07.06.2022): EUAs slumped by 6% on Monday as traders eye ETS reform vote
Oil prices fell slightly on Monday as increased supplies of Russian crude headed for Asia counterbalanced the optimism sparked by Saudi Arabia's larger-than-expected price hike for Far East exports. Hence, Brent crude lost 21 cents, or 0.2%, to settle at $119.51 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude slipped by 37 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at $118.50 a barrel.

Global LNG demand to more than double to 800mn tonnes by 2050: GECF
Global LNG demand will more than double from 356mn tonnes in 2020 to 800mn tonnes by 2050, "fuelled by solid demand from Asia and a rise in gas use for powering hard-to-electrify sectors", according to the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

EDP Renewables to invest up to S$10 bln by 2030 for clean energy hub in Singapore
EDP Renewables (EDPR), the world's fourth-largest renewable energy producer, said on Thursday it plans to invest up to S$10 billion ($7.40 billion) by 2030 to establish a clean energy hub in Singapore for the Asia Pacific region.

Moreover, the market is hopeful that the new coronavirus mutation will not cause big new shutdowns that could stop the market’s recovery.
