Crude oil prices strengthened on Wednesday, amid resurging concerns over global supply of black gold due to doubts over any immediate diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine. Hence, Brent oil rose by 2.9% to $113.45 a barrel and WTI crude surged by 3.4% to $107.82 a barrel.

Daily (18.03.2022): Oil prices surpassed again $100 a barrel on Thursday amid risk of supply shortfall
Oil prices climbed back above $100 a barrel on Thursday as risks of a Russian supply shortfall are increasing amid doubts that a resolution between Russia and Ukraine will be reached in the near term. Hence, Brent crude soared by 8.8%, to settle at $106.64 a barrel, its largest percentage gain since mid-2020. U.S. WTI crude increased by 8.4%, to close at $102.98 a barrel.
