Daily: British wholesale natural gas prices slip on warmer temperatures, curbed demand

Brent crude dropped on Monday, falling below $86 a barrel as concerns about oversupply and weak demand dragged down worldwide oil benchmark back to last week’s four-year low. WTI crude hovered below $83 a barrel. Brent settled as low as $84.41, after having dropped 69 cents at $85.47 a barrel by 1945 GMT. U.S. crude declined 4 cents to close at $82.71 a barrel. The spread between Brent and U.S. crude extended at $3.39 a barrel.

Daily: Brent crude loses ground on concerns over global economy, supply

Brent stroke below $90 a barrel on Thursday for the first time since the summer 2012, dragged down by pessimistic outlook and increasing oil stockpiles curbed energy prices. Brent crude for front-month delivery decreased $1.33 to settle at $90.05, its weakest settlement since June 2012. WTI crude for November delivery closed at $85.81, its lowest level since December 2012, and continued to slip in post-settlement trading to $85.02.

Norway: Statoil signs deal to vend gas to Ukraine’s Naftogas

Norwegian energy company Statoil has inked an agreement to vend gas to Ukraine state gas firm Naftogaz, according to the Nordic company on Friday, supplying another source of gas for Ukraine after Russia’s halt of supplies.

Daily: World crude oil prolong months-long string of declines on U.S dollar appreciation

World crude oil prolonged months-long run of declines on Friday, with Brent hitting a new 27-month low as the dollar appreciated following optimistic U.S. employment data and further signs of robust oil supply. Brent crude for November delivery fell $1.11 to settle at $92.31, after earlier touching $91.48 a barrel, its weakest level since June 2012. WTI November crude dropped by $1.27 to settle at $89.74 a barrel.
