German STEAG to receive funding for Romania wind farm

STEAG GmbH, one of Germany’s largest electricity producers, will get funds for 108 MW wind energy farm estimated at a cost of 200 million euro ($275.47 million), located in southeastern Romania, in the province of Dobrogea, as stated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Tuesday.

Dongfang wins order to supply 30 turbines to Blaiken

China’s Dongfang Electric has inked a €67 million transaction with Skellefteå Kraft to deliver turbines at the third stage of the 250 MW Blaiken wind farm in the north of Sweden. The first two phases comprise 60 Nordex turbines of 2.5 MW each.

Iberdrola to invest more abroad and less in Spain

Spanish Iberdrola, the world’s major wind power generator, has expressed its disapproval regarding the latest energy market reform announced by the Spanish government, declaring that the changes in the energy policy will discourage important investment. A2SEA to build Germany’s largest offshore wind farm

A2SEA, the world leader in offshore wind installation, has won a contract from DONG Energy to install 97 Siemens turbines of 6MW each, at a total capacity of 582MW. Once finished, Gode Wind 1 and 2 will be the major adjacent offshore wind farm in Germany.
