Daily (01.06.2021): Brent crude nears $70 a barrel as demand outlook improves

Oil prices gained ground on Monday, with Brent crude for August delivery rising by 0.5% at $69.32 a barrel amid growing demand expectations for the rest of the year, as lockdown measures are gradually withdrawn in large parts of the western world. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude increased by 0.9% at 66.90 a barrel. British gas contracts did not trade on Monday due to the Spring bank holiday.

Suez ship congestion could delay 10 LNG cargoes to Europe

Dislodging a container ship blocking the Suez Canal, one the world’s busiest trade routes, may delay delivery to Europe of around 1 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on 10 vessels if the blockage lasts for two weeks, researcher Rystad Energy said.

Daily (11.03.2021): NBP price for front-month delivery gained 5% on Wednesday due to cold weather forecasts

Crude oil prices edged higher on Wednesday, as the EIA’s weekly report showed continued disruptions in US oil production following February’s cold wave. Hence, Brent crude rose by 0.6% to $67.90 a barrel and WTI oil was 0.7% up at $64.44 a barrel.
