Terna acquires Italian railways' electricity line assets for 757 mln euros

Daily: European spot power prices evolve differently, while forwards near record lows
Crude oil prices settled lower with Brent declining more than 1% on Tuesday after collapsing near seven-year lows on worries those global oil producers will pump even more crude in an already oversupplied market. Brent decreased 47 cents to close at $40.26 per barrel, after a session low at $39.81. WTI eased 14 cents to close at $37.51, after tumbling to $36.64 earlier.

European Commission agreed to extend the Chinese solar PV duties
The European Commission agreed to requests from local solar panel manufacturers to extend curbs on Chinese imports by a year. The restrictions set a minimum sale price and cap the number of Chinese-made solar panels exported in the European Union.

EU declares Latvia should open up its gas market
Latvia should open its gas market to competition and comply with EU rules now the country can access alternative supplies, on account of a key pipeline modernization in neighbouring Lithuania, as stated by the European Commission to the Baltic state in a letter.
