Daily: European spot power prices decline on the eve of holiday in France, Germany

Crude oil prices declined after a 3 % rally o Wednesday as concerns about robust supplies have an impact on the market despite a second consecutive week of draws in U.S. crude. North Sea Brent closed at $66.81, down 5 cents. It had jumped to $68.17 earlier. WTI crude futures fell 25 cents to settle at $60.50 a barrel, after soaring to $61.85.

Daily: European power prices mixed, with German up on weak wind, French down on holiday

Crude oil receded 3 percent on Thursday as strengthening dollar slashed gains from the past two sessions. North Sea Brent crude declined $2.23, or 3.3 percent, to settle at $65.54 a barrel. Brent posted a 1.6% weekly loss. U.S. crude fell $1.99, or 3.3 percent, to close at $58.94 a barrel.

Ukraine doubles its gas imports from Russia in May

Russia announced it will double natural gas deliveries to Ukraine since the beginning of May after the countries prolonged a temporary agreement on pricing, while exports to European countries also increased, as shown by figures.

EU, Russia and Ukraine to conclude a trilateral gas deal to ensure supply security

Vice President of the European Commission, Maros Sefcovic, said on Tuesday in his recent visit to Kiev, is envisaging inking a trilateral gas deal between Ukraine, Russia and the European Union, which should be valid till the arbitration in Stockholm by the end of the summer. The deal is aimed to ensure security of gas supply for next winter and beyond.
