TenneT, the Dutch government-owned operator of electrical grids in the Netherlands and Germany, on Tuesday reported an expansion in its 2015 earnings and declared it intends to invest 22 billion euros ($24.25 billion) in new infrastructure over the coming decade.

Engie will make an investment of 700 million euros in Belgian reactors, profit halves

Engie's profit for the first half of 2015 decreased because of lower gas prices and the unavailability of three of its seven Belgian nuclear plants, but the French utility preserved its earnings guidance and declared it would invest 700 million euros in the life extension of two Belgian reactors.

Daily: Crude oil futures recover after a volatile trade

Crude oil futures recovered after a volatile session due to a weaker U.S. dollar, while low earnings dragged stocks lower. Expiring U.S. crude for August delivery edged 21 cents up to settle at $50.36 a barrel, after declining to $49.77 intraday. WTI crude for September delivery closed at $50.86, up 42 cents. Brent crude for September delivery advanced 39 cents to hit $57.04, having oscillated from $56.33 to $57.44. Brent's premium to September U.S. crude held above $6 a barrel.
