Huhne against higher feed-in tariffs for solar power

ABB invests in CPV Company

ABB announced its intention to invest about 20 million dollars for a minority stake in Green Volts Company, as part of a 35 million dollars financial round, a California provider of turnkey concentrating photovoltaic systems (CPV), which are 30-40 percent more efficient than traditional photovoltaic and thin-film modules.

China to increase PV target by 2015

The Chinese Government announced officially its new renewable targets under the current five year plan, raising them to 15GW by 2015. The analysts consider the renewable boom should occur due to introducing in July, the national feed-in tariffs system for PV projects.
