Daily: British gas prices increase on tight flows from Norway

Brent crude plunged, hitting a new 14-month low during Tuesday's session as the forecasts of stronger Iraqi and Libyan oil supplies weighed on the market. Brent crude oil for delivery in October declined 4 cents to hit at $101.56 a barrel, after slipping to $101.07, the lowest level since June 2013. WTI crude oil fell nearly $2 on Tuesday, falling for a second consecutive day as a rush of selling ahead of the session settlement dragged the contract to its lowest price since January. U.S. crude for September delivery tumbled abruptly a day ahead of its contract expiration, touching a session low of $94.27, its weakest level in seven months, before paring losses to settle at $94.48 a barrel, down $1.93.

Daily: Brent crude plunges at 14-month low as supply risks attenuate

Brent crude oil dropped by about $2 a barrel to hit its weakest point in over a year on Monday as investors’ worries about conflicts in Ukraine and Iraq attenuated and as stronger Libyan oil production added to already robust supplies. Brent crude declined $1.93 to close at $101.60 a barrel, after hitting a session low of $101.11, the lowest since June 2013. U.S. crude for September delivery tumbled by 94 cents to settle at $96.41, after paring losses from an earlier low of $95.81.

Daily: Brent crude holds near 13-month low on shaky European economy

Brent crude rose on Friday, but valued near a 13-month low below $103 a barrel as a precarious European economy increased worries about demand in an oversupplied market. Brent crude increased by 48 cents to trade $102.55 a barrel by 02:21 GMT, but the September contract, which expired on Thursday, had dropped $2 to close at $102.01, the weakest level since June 2013. U.S. crude rebounded 12 cents to trade at $95.70 a barrel.

Daily: British natural gas prices increase on nuclear plant outages, weak power output

Crude oil prices dropped more than $2 a barrel on both sides of the Atlantic on Thursday, dragged down by bearish economic data insinuating weakening oil demand and solid supplies. Brent crude for delivery in September closed down $2.27 at $102.01 after plunging to a low of $101.92, the lowest level since July 2013. Brent crude for October delivery fell $2.99 to settle at $102.07.

Daily: European power prices decline on sunnier weather

Brent crude increased by about $1 per barrel in a nervous trading on Wednesday, rebounding from a 13-month low as traders are continuing to worry about potential supply disruptions due to turmoil in Iraq and Libya. U.S. crude prices climbed as crude oil stockpiles increased 1.4 million barrels the previous week.
