EDF EN commissions new wind farm in Italy

French developer EDF Energies Nouvelles has commissioned the 23.4 MW Santa Luce wind farm in the province of Pisa, in Italy. The Santa Luce wind farm comprises 13 turbines supplied by Vestas, each with a unit capacity of 1.8 MW. The wind farm's location boasts highly favorable wind conditions.

Daily: UK gas prices climb on colder weather, undersupplied system

Brent crude oil futures increased on Monday, backed by data indicating a high demand for imported crude in China in January, but uncertainty about Italy’s election capped oil from its early peak. Meanwhile, Brent April crude climbed 34 cents, or 0.30 percent, to settle at $114.44 a barrel, having traded from $113.73 and $115.87.

ABB and Eni signed a $40 million contract for export terminal on Ionian Sea

Switzerland-based power and automation technology group ABB has signed a contract with the Italian Energy Company Eni, to extend the export terminal of Eni's refinery in Taranto, located in the 'Mar Grande' bay on the Ionian Sea in southern Italy. The contract between ABB and the multinational Italian oil and gas company, is part of Eni’s strategy to improve its refinery infrastructure and ensure a connection with the onshore Tempa Rossa oil plant.
