Croatia recommences arrangements for LNG terminal at KRK
Croatia has renewed a viability study for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on the island of Krk, the southern end of a gas pipeline corridor linking the country and Poland's Baltic port of Swinoujscie which should aid expand energy supplies for central Europe and reduce reliance on Russian imports, as stated by economy minister Ivan Vrdoljak on Tuesday.

Ukraine: Naftogaz reimburses $1.45 billion to Gazprom
Ukrainian state energy company Naftogaz declared on Tuesday it had paid $1.45 billion to Russia's Gazprom, the first tranche of debt reimbursement required by an accord that will see Moscow restart gas supplies to its ex-Soviet neighbor.

Daily: British prompt gas prices climb on undersupplied system, colder weather
Worldwide crude oil prices reversed a hike on Monday, with Brent trading lower after a sharp increase in Saudi Arabia’s monthly export prices is expected to curb output, discouraging buyers. Brent crude posted a considerable decline, off more than $1 to settle at about $84 per barrel. Previously it had declined below $85 as a stronger dollar slapped oil and gold, commodities that are priced in the U.S. currency. U.S. crude eased more than 2 percent, settling down $1.76 at $78.78 per barrel.
