Daily: UK gas prices tumble on balanced system, increasing temperatures

Brent crude touched a 27-month low on Wednesday before rebounding partially to settle above $91 a barrel, with analysts stating that the market is expected to recover despite increasing inventories and a pessimistic world economic outlook. Brent crude for November delivery decreased by 73 cents, or 0.8 percent, at $91.38 a barrel. U.S. crude dropped by 1.54$, or 1.7 percent, finished down at $87.31 a barrel, after trading at 86.83$, its lowest level since April 2013.

Russia: Gazprom minimizes U.S. LNG exports, shale

The plans of U.S. to start liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports in 2016 will not modify significantly the disjointed global LNG market, as stated on Tuesday by Alexei Miller, the chief executive of Russian gas exporter Gazprom.

Norway: Statoil signs deal to vend gas to Ukraine’s Naftogas

Norwegian energy company Statoil has inked an agreement to vend gas to Ukraine state gas firm Naftogaz, according to the Nordic company on Friday, supplying another source of gas for Ukraine after Russia’s halt of supplies.
