Unions say strike halts flows at France's second-largest gas depot

The CFDT and CGT general trade unions told Reuters France's second largest gas storage facility was no longer receiving gas on Thursday, and won't do so until at least Monday, because of strike action.

Crude oil prices increased marginally on Tuesday amid continued supply concerns and unwillingness among OPEC nations to increase output noticeably. However, the gains were limited by coronavirus measures in China and fears of a new global recession. Hence, Brent crude rose by 0.5%, to settle at $114.65 a barrel. US WTI crude added 0.7% to $109.52 a barrel.

Oil prices lost ground on Tuesday as investors worried that the US Federal Reserve would raise interest rates sooner than expected. Hence, Brent crude decreased by 0.9%, to settle at $121.17 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude slipped by 0.7%, to settle at $118.93 a barrel.
