Tullow Oil quits its Lupus exploration well in Norway

Tullow Oil PLC unveiled it had stopped up and quitted its Lupus exploration well in the Norwegian North Sea blaming its failure to find any hydrocarbons. The well is 35km south-east of the Oseberg Sor Field and 110km west of the island of Sotra in the North Sea.

Norway: wind farm to be built off Britain by Statoil and Statkraft

Norway's Statoil and Statkraft will construct the Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the coast of Norfolk in Britain, according to Statoil on Tuesday. It is estimated that the cost will be around 1.5 billion pounds ($2.57 billion).

Daily: British gas prices decreased due to higher supplies from Norway

Brent futures slightly increased on Thursday, holding near $110 a barrel amid expectations of higher demand from top oil consumer the United States since a sharp decline in the country's gasoline stocks added to latest data leading to a stronger economy.
