Daily: Brent crude oil prices increase on sanctions against Russia, healthier equities
BBrent crude oil futures boosted on Thursday on tighter sanctions against Russia which added a new risk premium and because of healthier equities which encouraged prices. Meanwhile, U.S. dropped ahead of the April contract's expiry.

Daily: Crude oil prices soar across both continents on strong equities, Ukraine unrest
Brent crude oil prices climbed on Tuesday on violent rapports in Crimea, while the American benchmark skyrocketed to its highest level in a week on strong build in U.S. equities. Brent crude oil rose by 55 cents to settle at $106.79 per barrel, after touching a six-week low on Monday. Meanwhile, its equivalent WTI oil benchmark closed $1.62 higher at $99.70 per barrel.

Daily: European power prices pulled down by technical selling in the carbon market
Brent crude oil futures declined by more than $2 per barrel on Monday, close to reach six-weeks lows, as strong global supplies offset worries over perpetual tensions between Russia and the West powers concerning Crimea’s fate. The European benchmark closed $1.97 lower at $106.24 per barrel, after hitting an intra-session low of $106.16, the weakest level since February 6. Meanwhile, U.S. crude futures eased by as much as $1.52 to touch a session low of $97.37 per barrel before ending 81 cents down at $98.08 per barrel.
