Saipem designated to build offshore LNG platforms in the Arctic
Russia’s Novatek is planning on surpassing Qatar, the world’s leading exporter in LNG, with the help of Italy’s Saipem, which is expected to be assigned to build LNG platforms on the Gydan Peninsula in the Arctic.

Norway doubles Barents Sea oil and gas resource estimates
Norway’s oil regulator, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), announced new forecasts on Tuesday, concerning the unfound oil and gas resources in the Arctic Barents Sea area, doubling them at approximately 17.6 billion barrels.
