U.S. crude oil futures increased for the first time in four sessions on Tuesday on positive New York State manufacturing data, upbeat German investment sentiment and prospects for pro-growth monetary policies in China in the wake of weak economic increase during last quarter. NYMEX crude for February delivery traded at 100.71 dollars a barrel, up 2.01 dollars after a trading range between 98.60 and 101.01 dollars.

Daily – Brent up on worries over supply disruptions

ICE Brent crude increased 1 dollar on Monday on fears over supply disruptions after Iran warned Gulf Arab neighbors of consequences if they increased oil production to replace Iranian oil industry facing international sanctions. By 07:22 GMT, ICE Brent crude for February delivery traded at 111.44 dollars a barrel, up 1 dollar.

Daily – oil up over 1 dollar on rising tensions between Iran and the West

Crude oil prices increased over one dollar on Tuesday on fears that rising tensions between Iran and the West could lead to a disruption in oil supplies. By 23:06, NYMEX crude for February delivery traded at 100.30 dollars a barrel, up 1.47 dollars, while by 01:02 GMT, ICE Brent crude for February delivery traded at 108.38 dollars a barrel, up 1 dollar.

Daily – oil up on possible supply disruptions

Crude oil futures increased for the fourth day in line on Thursday as turbulence in Iraq and upcoming Iranian navy exercises kept possible supply disruptions. U.S. crude for February delivery traded at 99.53 dollars a barrel, up 86 cents after a trading range between 98.51 and 100.05 dollars, while ICE Brent crude for February delivery settled at 107.89 dollars a barrel, up 18 cents after having traded from 107.29 to 108.50 dollars.
