EU drafts plan to reduce gas consumption ahead of uncertain winter
The European Commission is drafting plans to help EU countries reduce fossil gas demand and, if necessary, curtail consumption in the face of “a likely deterioration of gas supply outlook” this winter, according to leaked policy proposals seen by EURACTIV.

Daily (10.05.2022): Oil prices slumped by about 6% on Monday amid flagging demand due to Covid lockdown in China
Oil prices dropped sharply on Monday as the ongoing coronavirus lockdowns in China increased concerns about the demand outlook. Hence, Brent crude fell by $6.45, or 5.7%, to settle at $105.94 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude slumped by $6.68, or 6.1%, to settle at $103.09 a barrel.

Daily (20.04.2022): Oil prices fell by over 5% on Tuesday after IMF cuts growth outlook
Oil prices fell sharply on Tuesday on demand concerns after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut its economic growth forecasts and warned of higher inflation. Hence, Brent crude dropped by $5.91, or 5.2%, to settle at $107.25 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude dropped $5.65, or 5.2%, to settle at $102.56 a barrel.
