Daily: Crude oil prices rally to nine-month high amid Iraq clash

Crude oil prices rallied to nine-month highs on Thursday, buoyed by worries that the intensifying violence in Iraq could cut oil supply from the second-largest OPEC producer. Brent futures rose by $3.07 to close at $113.02 a barrel, the highest level since September 9, while WTI oil gained $2.13 to end at $106.53 a barrel, posting equally the highest settlement price since September 18.
