Daily: European power prices pulled down by technical selling in the carbon market

Brent crude oil futures declined by more than $2 per barrel on Monday, close to reach six-weeks lows, as strong global supplies offset worries over perpetual tensions between Russia and the West powers concerning Crimea’s fate. The European benchmark closed $1.97 lower at $106.24 per barrel, after hitting an intra-session low of $106.16, the weakest level since February 6. Meanwhile, U.S. crude futures eased by as much as $1.52 to touch a session low of $97.37 per barrel before ending 81 cents down at $98.08 per barrel.

Dong Energy: wind capacity to be increased to 312MW at Riffgrund

Dong Energy decided to increase the total capacity of its turbines from 277 MW to 312 MW at the Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore wind farm. The turbines are likely to be upgraded from 3.6 MW to 4 MW.
