Daily Energy Market Overview 09.30.2010

Oil increased above $78 per barrel on Thursday, due to weak dollar. U.S. crude oil futures climbed at $78.79 per barrel. At 11:37 GMT, it registered an increase of $0.84 to $78.70. ICE Brent crude futures were up $1.04 to $81.81 per barrel.

Oil was up on Wednesday. At 06:52 GMT, U.S. crude for November increased $0.49 to $76.67 per barrel, close to a two-week high above $77, while ICE Brent for November rose from $78.71 to $79.21. Crude stocks decreased by 2.4 million barrels, the API officials said.

Equatorial Guinea signs five oil concession deals.

One of Africa’s largest oil producers, Equatorial Guinea, signed five concession deals, two of which were with Russia's Gazprom Neft that declared in June that they were hoping to sign a production-sharing agreement with the African nation for two oil offshore blocks.
