Daily: UK gas reaches new lows on Russia, Ukraine temporary gas deal

Brent and U.S. crude oil settled down in a nervous trading on Monday, dragged down by a stronger dollar and recently released data showing that OPEC’s oil output increased to a three-month high. Brent crude for July delivery declined 58 cents to close at $108.83 a barrel, after striking $109.87 and further retreating below Brent's 200-day moving average at $109.07. WTI crude for July delivery traded 24 cents down to close at $102.47 a barrel, after hitting an intraday high at $103.35.

Russia: Rosatom to increase orders to $100 billion in 2014

Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom plans to expand its global order book to $100 billion till the end of 2014, or a 25 percent increase year-on-year, by assuring new projects in Hungary, Kazakhstan, India and Iran, as declared on Monday by CEO Sergei Kiriyenko at a reunion with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Russia’s Stroitransgaz to construct South Stream traversing Bulgaria

Russian natural gas exporter Gazprom stated on Tuesday it had chosen a conglomerate run by Russia's Stroitransgaz to extend the South Stream pipeline across Bulgaria at an estimated cost of over 3 billion euros ($4.10 billion).

A conglomerate run by BP awards a contract of $375 million for Shah Deniz gas project

A conglomerate run by BP and the South Caucasus Pipeline Company has awarded a contract for pipeline construction estimated at $735 million to a consortium of companies to facilitate the expansion of the Shah Deniz II gas project in Azerbaijan which gives Europe a possibility to diminish dependence on Russian gas.
