Brent crude increased over $111 a barrel in choppy trading on Monday as Saudi Arabia forecasted strong demand coming from Asia, while U.S. crude prices dropped as a pipeline leak in Arkansas threatened to increase the oversupply of oil in the U.S. Midwest.

According to the Irish Wind Energy Association, Ireland has currently reached a record level of wind power output of about 1,540 MW, corresponding to about 36% of the demand, which should be enough to power with electricity about 1 million households. The record was achieved at the same time as a new all-island record was also set for energy generation, with levels reaching 1,917MW on the island of Ireland, which should be enough to power more than 1,246,000 homes. UK has received a liquefied natural gas shipment from Qatar, because of dwindling gas supplies due to the unseasonably severe March weather which continues to put increasing demands on the National Grid. Two more shipments from Qatar are due in the coming week.
