Bosch to invest 520 million euros in a solar project in Malaysia
A worldwide known service provider, Bosch Group, aims to extend its photovoltaic business by building a major manufacturing site near Penang, in the Batu Kawan region of Malaysia. The total amount of the investment is 520 million euros, while the project construction is planned to be started this year and completed by the end of 2014.

British gas prices increased on Monday afternoon on higher oil prices, though gains were expected to be short-lived as Euro zone debt worries persisted. By 16:00 GMT, gas for next winter delivery settled at 68.90 pence, up 0.70 pence, while gas for winter delivery in 2012 increased 0.40 pence to 71.40 pence.

Boost in sales of residential wind turbines in USA
Despite the difficult situation in the economy’s path, more and more people are buying small wind turbines, with around 10,000 units sold nationally in 2009 compared to 2,100 units sold in 2001, according to the American Wind Energy Association.

IEA announces the proportion of oil release
Last week, the IEA announced that it will release 60 million-barrel of oil from its strategic reserves after consumer nations unsuccessfully exerted pressure on the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to increase its oil production at a meeting this month.
